Why this exists

Coverage for every level of the state.

WVU and Marshall already have beat writers. The rest of West Virginia football doesn't.

The gap we're filling

Search "West Virginia college football" and you'll find plenty on WVU, a fair amount on Marshall, and almost nothing on the nine Division II programs playing real, competitive football an hour or two from most readers in the state. The Mountain East Conference has produced national quarterfinalists and conference championship games with actual stakes — and it gets covered by nobody.

Two-Minute Pour exists to close that gap: one weekly newsletter that treats WVU, Marshall, and the MEC as part of the same story, because to the people who live here, they are.

Who it's for

Readers rooted in West Virginia who want their football and basketball coverage to reflect the whole state — not just the two programs with television contracts. If you grew up going to a Mountain East game, know someone playing D2 ball, or just want a weekly rundown that doesn't stop at the Big 12 and Sun Belt, this is for you.

How we work

  • 1

    Every level, every week

WVU and Marshall get their due, but the Mountain East Conference gets equal — often more — real estate. No level of the state's football gets treated as an afterthought.

  • 2

    Accuracy over speed

If a score or a stat isn't confirmed, we say so rather than guess. Better a week late and right than fast and wrong.

  • 3

Built with readers, not just for them

Reply to any issue. What you want more of shapes what comes next — this is a small operation that can actually move on feedback.

  • 4

    Free, always

No paywall on the weekly issue. If that changes down the line, existing subscribers will hear it from us first, plainly.
